Jerantut

Public transport is not difficult even though this is a small town. From Bus Station they have buses to Mela, Kerambit and Kuala Lipis at 6h15am, 10h30am and 3h30pm

There are many public cabs available to any location from local district to other district and inclusive to Kuala Lumpur or Kuantan capital city of Pahang.

Public buses available to nearby Temerloh, Benta, Kuala Tembeling Jetty to National Park, Bandar Pusat Jengka. Direct service of express bus available to Kuantan and Kuala Lumpur.

Public busses to Kuala Tahan for Taman Negara leave from bus station at 5:30am 8:00am 1:00 pm and 5:00pm returning at 7:30am 10:00am 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Price is RM7 each way and trip takes about 1hr45.

NKS also have two express busses a day on same route for RM25 along with direct onward travel to most tourist destinations. Cameron Highlands – RM65, Jetty for Perhetians – RM65 etc

NKS busses are more expensive than public transport though if you are on a tight schedule, they can take all of the organising out of the equation for you. The NKS websites may not be working but you can contact the Jerantut office at Hotel Sri Emas or phone 09-2601777, 2601773, 2664488, or 2664499. There's also an office in KL at the Hotel Mandarin Pacific Petaling Street, Chinatown, tel. 03-20720336.

Jerantut is dead town at night. Except for Saturday night where local night market Pasar Malamis held, city sleeps at 11-12PM. On Sunday flee market is quite interesting to look into.
